One of the world’s leading insurance groups is looking to recruit an experienced Claims Negotiator to work within the Commercial Claims department.
About the Company:
Our client is an Insurance business providing a range of personal and commercial insurance products via the intermediary market with a proven track record for providing outstanding customer service and consistently priced products such as Motor, Household, Travel and Small Commercial package insurance.
About the Role:
Working as a Commercial Claims Negotiator, you will be required to manage the settlement process of a portfolio of commercial claims from notification through to settlement. Specific duties will include;
Handling allocated claims in accordance with departmental procedures
Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly to ensure the claims fall within the policy cover and legal liability
Proactively settle allocated claims
Maintain accurate an up to date reserves that reflect companies true liabilities on each claim
Identify and manage all recovery opportunities
Conduct all business in accordance with FSA regulations
Provide all customers (both internal and external) with the highest possible level of service
Act as a referral point for less experienced members of the team and assist with their coaching and development
Authorise other Negotiator’s settlements which exceed their authority
Key Skills/Experience:
In order to be considered for the role of Commercial Claims Negotiator, you must possess the following;
Experience of commercial SME package and combined products
A good understanding of a Commercial Claims environment including relevant protocols and legislation
Strong investigative mind with a good awareness of fraud
First – class organisational abilities
Ability to handle “small” and “fast – track” claims with minimal supervision
Good communication skills in order to deal effectively, persuade and influence many classes of people from policy holders with limited insurance knowledge through to professionals
The ability to work under own initiative but also interact well with a small team
Salary & Benefits
Salary is up to £23,000 p.a depending on experience.
